According to the public relations of the electronic unit of the Islamic Azad University, the growth center of this unit started working as one of the offices of the "Special Headquarters for the Development of Nanotechnology".

In order to support the extension and educational activities of nanotechnology, the Special Staff for the Development of Nanotechnology, Vice President for Science and Technology, has launched extension institutions in academic centers and scientific institutes. The promotional institutions of the Nano Headquarters are composed of student groups, educational companies, nanotechnology working groups in universities, etc., with the aim of promoting and teaching this technology among the interested parties. Entering the field of nanotechnology and also cultivating specialized human capital to develop this technology in the country, has implemented an incentive support program for research activities.

The growth center of the electronic unit of Islamic Azad University, with the aim of effective support for the realization of technological achievements in the field of nanotechnology, while promoting the importance of technological activities over mere research activities, will continuously identify and introduce important future technologies. In this regard, this unit has the following goals in its agenda:

1- Strengthening the discourse of nanotechnology development

2- Promoting the participation of all stakeholders in the nanotechnology development system

3- Discovering, cultivating and directing the existing talents along the path of the country's priorities

4- Implementing a program to support start-up businesses in the field of nanotechnology (nano-startup)

5- Holding a national nanotechnology competition and creating the biggest scientific competition in the field of this technology

The center will also use support and incentive tools to guide knowledge-based companies, researchers and research centers to technological advances. In addition, efforts are being made to facilitate and accelerate the acquisition of the desired technologies by forming networks of technologists.
